Events, Attractions & Links

Wondering what you could possibly find to do in the adventurous, exciting, world renowned town of Banff? Or the surrounding area?

Don’t worry we’ve got plenty of options (none of them include watching TV in our common area either.)

What's To Do?

Looking for other ideas on what to do?

  • Get (almost) Naked! The Banff Upper Hot Springs is the perfect way to warm up and chill out. With an average temperature of 38 degrees Celsius, an après ski soak is just what the doctor ordered.
  • Johnston Canyon – Located just 17km from the town of Banff on the 1A highway, this hike is one of the most popular, summer or winter, in the area. Walk amongst tall Lone Pines, across steel bridges and to the highlight – the Upper Falls, 100 ft. high!
  • Sulphur Mountain Gondola – Located just minutes from downtown Banff, the gondola whisks you on an 8-minute journey to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, 2281m (7486ft) high. With a mountain top restaurant, 360 degree panoramic view and a National Historic Site, this is not to be missed.
  • Hermit Cabin – A rather elusive sight, many locals don’t even know of its existence. But well worth the mission to find it. This Cabin is approximately 100 years old and was home to a well-known, but less oft seen Banffite. Located around one of the more popular lakes in the National Park, not too far from town – we’ll leave you to find it.
  • Bow Falls Trail – Hit the trail, you can find it just behind the Banff Y Mountain Lodge, and head towards the falls. This popular trail (for good reason) follows the Bow River towards Bow Falls and finishes with a stunning view of the valley, and the Banff Springs Hotel.

If that doesn't inspire you, then why not try out one of these?
